ASP-74 survival kit consists of the waist belt with two floatation pouches and an over the shoulders
strap attached to it. The kit is issued in a carrying bag which has the same serial number as both of
the floatation pounches.
ASP-74 carrying bag.
ID tag on the carrying bag. First line is the name of the kit and second line is its serial
number. There is also some stamp, but I don't know what it stands for...
Right side of the bag has a strip of material for ease of carrying it. The stamped sign
translates as "Do Not Drop".
The complete content of the ASP-74 kit - waist belt with two pouches tied to it and an over
the shoulder strip.
Floatation pouches from the back. Note the ID tag on each of the pouches - it carries the name
of the kit (ASP-74) on the first line, identifies pouch as left or right on the second line and a
serial number on the third line. Below the ID tag, each of the pouches has two pieces of material with
holes for the lace attached to it.
This picture depicts how the belt is attached to the pouch. The belt inserts between the two
strips of material and then an orange lace is used to tie both strips together. This allows pouches
to be used without the kit's belt.
ASP-74 pouches attached to the VMSK-4 suit. Note that kit uses orange belt integrated into the
VMSK-4 suit instead of the original blue one it was issued with.
